Manchester City Records ThirdHighest Revenues in Its History

Khaberni - Khaberni - Manchester City announced its annual report for the 2024-2025 season, confirming its third-highest revenues in its history, despite being absent from the podium for the first time in 8 years.

The report detailed that the club's long-term approach in diversifying income sources was reflected in the revenues, which amounted to £694.1 million, with a marginal loss recorded at £9.9 million.

According to the standards previously set by the club, participating in the Champions League for the 15th consecutive season and achieving third place in the Premier League were considered less than ambitious results.

The season witnessed strategic investments in the first team, involving the signing of Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, and Nico Gonzalez, alongside affirming striker Erling Haaland, one of the world's top goal scorers, would continue with the club over the next contract.

On the administrative side, Txiki Begiristain concluded his tenure as the sporting director of Manchester City after 13 years of success, with Hugo Viana taking over the role, supported by Begiristain during the transition phase to ensure a smooth handover.

The end of the season also marked the conclusion of a decade-long career for player Kevin De Bruyne, one of Manchester City's most prominent stars, after 10 years filled with achievements.

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak commented on the season, saying: "The achievements this year reflect the importance of ongoing efforts to enhance the club’s stature and ensure its development over the long term, and our commitment to evolve Manchester City on and off the pitch has not waned in any way."

He added that considering the third place in the Premier League and qualifying for the Champions League for the 15th consecutive season a disappointing result, underscores the considerable progress the club has made since 2008. We set the highest standards for ourselves and pride ourselves on raising the bar of our ambitions thanks to continued successes, and we have made significant investments in renewing the first-team squad, looking forward to seeing this new group evolve under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.

Al Mubarak confirmed that the club had successfully faced the challenges of the past 12 months with steadiness and clear vision, pointing out that the ability to overcome difficulties and emerge stronger reflects the robustness of the institution, both at the club level and the City Football Group.

The club's CEO, Ferran Soriano, said: "Manchester City continues to build on strong foundations, and we are unwaveringly carrying out our strategy, which focuses on the beauty of football, operational excellence, community impact, and long-term innovation."

He added: This commitment is embodied by the long-term contracts signed with both Erling Haaland and Puma. Although the season was challenging, it has taught us valuable lessons that will positively reflect on our future successes, based on our always principle: we either win or we learn."

The annual report also highlighted several achievements reflecting the club’s commitment to sustainable growth, ongoing development, and community impact; among these was significant progress in the North Stand redevelopment project and the entertainment facility worth £300 million, which will open in stages, starting with the expanded North Stand before the end of the 2025-2026 season.

The report noted the completion of most of the construction and external work, alongside announcing a partnership with the Radisson Hotel Group to manage the club's hotel consisting of 401 rooms.

The expanded North Stand and new facilities will join the "Co-op Live" venue, which accommodates 23,500 spectators, a project resulting from a partnership between the City Football Group and Oak View Group.

Progress was also made in the project of the City Football Academy Women's Sports Center, which cost £10 million and will become the headquarters for the women's first team.

In sports, midfielder Rodri won the Ballon d'Or, becoming the first player in Manchester City's history to receive the highest individual award in football and continued the promotion of talents from the academy to the first team, with Nico O'Reilly solidifying his position in coach Pep Guardiola's lineup.

In community outreach, the club’s charity "City in the Community" continued its role in empowering youth, with more than 16,900 individuals participating in 19 programs during the 2024-2025 season.

The club also recorded a notable growth on social media platforms, with a 60% annual increase in active users, achieving the highest number of video views in the Premier League, with 13.9 billion views across 5 major platforms, along with 1.4 billion interactions across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
