Khaberni - Egyptian art through work, considering that this approach lacks a logical basis and ignores the nature of the cinema industry in Egypt.
Amr Adib confirmed that the discussion about any artistic work should remain within its professional framework without assigning it political dimensions or general accusations.
Adib clarified that the entities supporting the work did not interfere in the choice of director, actors, or artistic elements, pointing out that support does not mean guardianship or direction.
The Egyptian media figure also emphasized that the film was produced using known mechanisms in the industry, with the participation of national production companies working within the Egyptian market, condemning such statements coming from an artistic figure like Mohamed Sobhi.
Adib defended the film's team and considered that accusing them of participating in a scheme that offends Egyptian art represents a direct insult to their professional efforts, pointing out that the work underwent lengthy preparations, and that the audience and critics have the right to evaluate it artistically without doubting the intentions or affiliations.
Amr Adib accused the Egyptian artist Mohamed Sobhi of trying to cover up an incident where he lost his temper at his personal driver a few days ago, by creating a bubble of criticism that does not reflect reality, continuing his attack by saying: "People will not forget the driver incident, Mr. Mohamed, and 'El-Sitt' film will remain dignified, and it's shameful for such statements to come from a great artist like you, and I wonder: When were you part of a huge production like this?"
Adib refused to direct insults and criticism towards the makers of "El-Sitt," stressing that the whole work entity is "Egyptian and patriotic," and added, "Criticize people, but don't accuse them of betrayal, and by the way, the Entertainment Authority did not intervene in any choices but only directed financial support amidst difficult conditions faced by the Egyptian cinema."
It is worth mentioning that a number of artists participated in starring in the film El-Sitt, with Mona Zaki playing the main role, alongside Sayed Ragab, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Tamer Nabil, Mohamed Farrag, and several other actors. The film also included a group of guest stars, among them Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Helmy, Sedky Sakhr, Taha Desouky, and Asser Yassin, while Ahmed Murad wrote the screenplay, and the work was directed by Marwan Hamed.
