FIFA announced that the fans of the team Zakho Iraqi won the award for best fans in the world for the year 2025.
Zakho fans received the Best Fans Award before the start of "The Best" gala, which is scheduled to take place today for the distribution of awards for the best in the world and presented by FIFA.
The honoring of Zakho fans came because of their donations of toys and gifts to sick children, in an initiative that occurred before the start of the team's match against Al-Hudood in the Iraqi league in May last year.
Zakho fans threw thousands of stuffed dolls onto the pitch, which were later collected to be donated to sick children.
The Best Fan Award was launched in 2016 and is given to fans who do something extraordinary or perform an act or gesture that had a clear impact in the world of football.
