Khaberni - US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday the imposition of a naval blockade on "sanctioned oil ships" leaving Venezuela and heading towards it, in a new escalation of the pressure campaign he is waging on Caracas.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social" after days of the US forces seizing an oil tanker off the Venezuelan coast, "Today, I issue an order for a complete and comprehensive blockade on all oil tankers under sanctions that enter and leave Venezuela."
He added that the massive US naval fleet deployed in the Caribbean "will expand in size" until Venezuela "returns to the United States all the oil, lands, and other assets it had previously stolen from us."
