Star Academy France 2025 Leos Mother Reveals the BehindtheScenes of the Sad Exit

Khaberni - Despite his talent and creativity on stage, luck did not favor Leo in continuing in the Star Academy France 2025 competition, after he was eliminated during the last prime.

Karen Lefevre, Leo's mother, opened her heart to the press and revealed what happened behind the scenes after his exit from the competition, confirming the support of the teachers and his colleagues during these difficult moments, according to the French magazine "Closer".

During the prime on Saturday, December 13th, hosted by Nikos Aliagas on the French channel "TF1", 7 of the academy students were at risk of elimination.

The exit at this stage was very impactful as it was the last prime before the grand tour of the program in 2026, which only includes the students who survived this stage.

Before the start of the prime, only 3 were confirmed to participate in the tour: Amber, who received immunity in last Friday's prime on December 5th, then Sarah, who earned her tour ticket thanks to the best singing and dancing performance, and finally Bastien, who won the weekly evaluation marathon. Thus, Leo, Leia, Anouk, Jean, Melissa, Theo B., and Victor competed to stay in the competition.

In the end, the audience chose to eliminate Leo, depriving him of participating in the grand tour, which was a particular shock to Jean, who had been close to him since the start of the competition.

His family felt a great disappointment, as stated by his mother, Karen Lefevre to the newspaper La Voix du Nord on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

His mother said: "We feel sad because his adventure has ended, although we are confident that he will recover and continue his career. But we are frustrated because what he presented in the prime was wonderful. His duet with Asaf Avidan on the song Reckoning Song was amazing, and we do not understand why he was eliminated."

She added: "We still cannot believe what happened, everything seems unreal. Anyway, he never fell short! Maybe he's not within the style that the audience loves, but this is his artistic world."

Karen Lefevre mentioned regarding the backstage of his departure that after the prime, the teachers and former graduates came to support him, and they were very kind. We saw Leo at the studio and in the hotel, and we gave him a hug. One of his friends stayed with him. He was sad because of the tour, but more so because he had to leave his friends at the mansion.

She continued: "Many criticize the students on social media, but no one imagines what they go through, as they are isolated yet surrounded by many people all the time."
