Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II received, today Tuesday, the Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmery Steinerjard, and they discussed the friendship relations between the two countries and the latest regional developments.
The meeting, which was held at the Al Husseiniya Palace, confirmed the importance of expanding joint work and exchanging expertise, especially in economic and defense fields.
His Majesty the King emphasized the need to intensify international efforts to achieve stability in the region, asserting the necessity to commit to implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and guaranteeing the delivery of aid, and His Majesty appreciated the Swedish humanitarian efforts in the sector.
His Majesty the King stressed the necessity of halting escalation in the West Bank, warning of the consequences of the continued illegal settlement expansion there.
Attending the meeting were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, the Director of His Majesty's Office, engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Swedish Ambassador to Jordan Maria Sargren.
