Khaberni - Jordanian journalist Najm Aldeen Al-Tawalbeh responded to those who doubted his Jordanian identity following a post about the match between the Jordanian and Saudi teams, saying: "Who are you, last age Barmakids?!", and accused those who criticized him of being connected to foreign agendas and aligning with the external opposition, stating that "The relationship between the two brotherly peoples is greater than the scales of profit and loss in sports competitions."
In a video he posted today, Tuesday, Al-Tawalbeh expressed his displeasure with the comments that targeted him, saying: "I suckled my Jordanian identity with the milk of my childhood, and my Jordanian identity is as profound as the Jordanian identity of Wasfi al-Tal and Habis al-Majali."
Al-Tawalbeh clarified that what he wrote on his accounts, "I am Jordanian by birth and Saudi by affinity", comes within the context of the relationships of love, neighborhood, kinship, and marriage that unite the Jordanian and Saudi people. He pointed out that a victory for the Saudi team over Jordan is a victory for Jordan, and the loss of the Nashama – God forbid – remains within the framework of sportsmanship and intimacy among brethren.
