Khaberni - Khaberni - Manuel Neuer, the goalkeeper for Bayern Munich, is threatened with missing the final match of his team this year due to a knee tendon tear.
The German club announced today, Monday, that the medical examination confirmed Neuer's injury (39 years old) in the right knee tendons, after participating in the Mainz match that ended in a 2-2 draw in the league, yesterday Sunday.
Bayern Munich clarified that Neuer will be absent from the team currently, but the Bavarian club did not provide further details regarding the severity of the injury.
The match against Heidenheim in the German league on Sunday will be Bayern's last game before the winter break.
Bayern Munich, the German league champion of the new year 2026 will start with a match against Wolfsburg on January 11 (January).
Media reports mentioned that Neuer's absence will extend to early next year.
They added that the substitute goalkeeper, Jonas Orbig (22 years old) will protect Bayern's goal in the Heidenheim match, after the young goalkeeper's participation in 4 matches this season.
It also indicated that after a short mid-season break, Bayern will play a friendly against Austrian Salzburg on January 6 next January before hosting Wolfsburg five days later in the Bundesliga.
It is not yet clear when Neuer will return to full fitness, given that the veteran goalkeeper has suffered many injuries in recent seasons, and his contract ends at the end of the current season.
