Khaberni - The American authorities issued, on Monday, orders for the immediate evacuation of 3 suburbs in the city of Seattle, Washington, after the collapse of a dam under a downpour of heavy rain throughout the week.
The evacuation order issued by King County included homes and businesses east of "Green River" in parts of Kent, Auburn, and Tukwila.
The National Weather Service issued a warning of sudden flooding affecting about 47,000 people.
The dam collapse came after a week of heavy rains and flooding that submerged the areas, prompting authorities to carry out evacuations of tens of thousands of citizens and conduct dozens of rescue operations across the western regions of Washington state.
