Khaberni - European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hajja Habib, stated that humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip "must flow like a torrent, not drop by drop."
Habib further added in her talk to journalists today, Monday, during a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, that Palestinians are still being killed daily despite the ceasefire agreement.
She mentioned that hundreds of aid trucks are detained at the Rafah border crossing, as needs in Gaza particularly increase during the winter months.
She pointed out that she visited Egypt two weeks ago and was not allowed by Israel to enter Gaza, indicating that relief workers face many administrative obstacles in delivering aid to the sector.
