Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Expatriate Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized on Monday the necessity of fully committing to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and starting the implementation of its second phase.
The ministers underscored in a phone call today the necessity of Israel fulfilling its obligations according to the agreement and international law, and immediately and sufficiently lifting all restrictions imposed on the entry of humanitarian aid into the sector, which is still suffering a humanitarian disaster due to the aggression and continuing Israeli prevention of sufficient aid entry into Gaza.
Safadi and Fidan also warned of the dangers of unlawful Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, which are pushing towards an escalation of the situation and undermining all efforts to calm and achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution, which is the only way to achieve security, stability, and lasting peace in the region.
The ministers also emphasized the necessity to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and reject all attempts to discredit the agency and prevent it from performing its vital, irreplaceable humanitarian role.
Safadi and Fidan also discussed the situation in Syria and confirmed the necessity to stop Israeli aggressions on its land and sovereignty, emphasizing the ongoing joint efforts to support the Syrian government in its reconstruction efforts and ensuring Syria's security, sovereignty, unity, stability, and the rights and safety of all its citizens.
The ministers affirmed the depth of brotherly relations between the two brotherly nations, and the shared interest in developing cooperation in various fields.
