Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Monday, received the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, covered the depth of Jordanian-Chinese relations and the keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields, notably economic and investment.
Speaking on the developments in the Middle East, His Majesty the King stressed the importance of adhering to the terms of the Gaza War cessation agreement at all stages, and stopping attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank.
His Majesty called for intensifying international efforts for humanitarian response in Gaza, pointing out the importance of sustaining the cooperation between China and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization in this field.
His Majesty the King reaffirmed the necessity for the Palestinian people to achieve all their legitimate rights, emphasizing that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s Office Alaa Batayneh, and the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Gou Wei.
