Jordan 1882 Turkish high school certificates since 2023 404 certificates found to be invalid

Khaberni - Minister of Education and Higher Education Azmi Province said that the total number of Turkish high school certificates since the year 2023 up to today has reached 1882 certificates, noting that the number of responses about them reached 1835 certificates, while 47 certificates still have no response so far out of the overall certificates.

Province explained that the Jordanian embassy is following up on this matter with significant effort, although the work faced delays from the Turkish side at some stages, in addition to non-cooperation under the pretext of protecting personal data, which forced the official authorities to intervene through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially.

He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has approved this intervention, and responses started arriving sequentially and in large numbers reaching hundreds.

The minister indicated that the number of certificates that received an official reply confirming their invalidity reached 404, while the number of certificates that received two different responses, once considered valid and once invalid, is 49 certificates.

He pointed out that these certificates have now been sent to the Turkish side, and a third decisive opinion is being awaited to finalize their situation definitively.

Province confirmed that there are about 1400 students who have no issues and are on school benches in universities, holding equivalent registration and studying normally.

Province said that after the year 2023, there are no more issues related to the Turkish high school, after the ministry noticed the issue and set clear terms for its regulation.

He added that any student who consults the ministry is directed by an official letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which in turn communicates with the Jordanian embassy in Turkey, while the embassy addresses the Turkish government to verify the student's situation.

He also mentioned that any student who holds a document issued by a valid Turkish school, and it was not stated that it is an invalid certificate, can undergo the ability and achievement exams, and his certificate is accredited if he successfully passes both exams.

Province affirmed that the ministry expelled 92 students from universities last year due to the invalidity of their certificates.
