Khaberni - The national team meets its Saudi counterpart at 8:30 PM on Monday, in the semi-final round of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
The match will be held on the pitch of Al Bayt Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The national team coach, Jamal Salami, confirmed on Sunday the difficulty of the upcoming match against Saudi Arabia, describing "Al-Akhdar" as a strong opponent with great chances to compete for the title.
Salami said in a press conference held before the last training session of the team, that the Saudi team enters the match with a complete squad without any significant absences, highlighting the strength and experience of the opponent in such encounters.
He explained that the national team suffers from the absence of several important players, notably Yazan Al-Naimat and Musa Al-Taamari, but this will not diminish the Nashama's ambition to compete for the qualification spot.
Salami added: "We are missing influential players, but we will defend our chances of qualifying for the Arab Cup final," affirming the technical staff's confidence in the ability of the available players to deliver a strong performance that reflects the team's spirit and determination to compete until the last moment.
The national team qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Iraq with a solitary goal, while the Saudi team reached the same round after eliminating the Palestinian team with two goals to one.
