Khaberni - Moroccan authorities stated that "exceptional flood flows" caused by heavy rains have killed at least seven people and injured 20 others on Sunday, in the coastal province of Safi, which looks out onto the Atlantic Ocean, and is located 330 kilometers south of Rabat.
The authorities clarified in a statement that heavy rains, which lasted for only one hour, led to about 70 homes and shops being flooded and 10 cars swept away, as well as many roads being cut off in the city of Safi and its surroundings, while rescue efforts continue.
