Khaberni - The Nashama team received a painful blow before facing their Saudi counterparts in the semi-final of the Arab Cup 2025, after the confirmation of player Yazan Al-Naymat's injury with a complete tear in the anterior cruciate ligament during the quarter-final match against Iraq, held in the stadiums of Qatar.
Jamal Salami, the technical director of the Jordanian team, announced at a press conference this Sunday morning that the new examinations and scans confirmed Al-Naymat’s injury, which rules him out of the team's plans for tomorrow's match in the search for a ticket to the final.
According to media sources, Salami has decided to rely on the duo Ali Allwan and Mahmoud Al-Marzooq to lead the Nashama's front line, while keeping the rest of the attacking options on the bench, and considering the inclusion of a third midfielder to enhance defensive marking and cut off play paths against the Saudi team.
Ali Allwan will be the main responsible for leading Jordan’s attack, while Al-Marzooq will occupy the role of a withdrawn striker, in a step aimed at maintaining a balance between offensive power and defensive security, amidst a significant challenge against the Saudi team that seeks to qualify for the final.
