Khaberni - On Saturday, a food aid convoy organized by the Jordanian Armed Forces arrived in the brotherly Republic of Yemen, as part of the humanitarian efforts exerted by the Kingdom to alleviate the harsh living conditions faced by the Yemeni people.
The aid convoy included (13) trucks loaded with 54,600 food parcels, which were delivered overland through Saudi Arabia to the relevant authorities for distribution among the Yemeni people, contributing to meeting their basic needs in the affected areas.
The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that the dispatch of this convoy is in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and reflects Jordan's steadfast approach in supporting the brethren and standing by them in various humanitarian situations.
The Yemeni authorities expressed their appreciation and thanks to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, both leadership and people, for this humanitarian initiative, which reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries, and contributes to alleviating the suffering of the citizens there.
It should be noted that the aid convoy departed last Tuesday from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, after completing all necessary technical arrangements, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure its smooth and easy arrival to the beneficiaries in the brotherly Republic of Yemen.
