Khaberni - The national team coach, Jamal Salami, confirmed the difficulty of the upcoming match against the Saudi team in the semi-finals of the Arab Cup, describing the "Saudi Green" as a strong competitor with high chances of competing for the title.
Salami stated in his remarks before the match that the Saudi team enters the game with a complete squad without any significant absence, pointing out the strength and experience of the opponent in such confrontations.
He explained that the national team is suffering from the absence of several key players, notably Yazan Al-Naimat and Musa Al-Taamari, but this will not diminish Al-Nashama's ambition to compete for a qualifying spot.
Salami added: "We are missing influential players, but we will defend our chances of qualifying for the Arab Cup final," affirming the coaching staff's confidence in the ability of the available players to deliver a strong performance that reflects the spirit of the team and their determination to compete until the last moment.
He indicated that the Jordanian national team’s doctor is not responsible for Yazan Al-Naimat’s injury during the match against Iraq.
The coach of the Saudi national team, Frenchman Hervé Renard, confirmed the readiness of the Saudi Green for the match against the Jordanian team, in the upcoming semi-final of the Arab Cup, emphasizing the importance of qualifying for the final match for the Saudi fans.
Renard stated on Sunday during the press conference preceding the match, that after qualifying for the semi-final, the priority was to rest the players after the matches against Saudi Arabia and Palestine, adding: "We will be ready for the match against the Jordanian national team, and we need to reach the Arab Cup final for our fans."
He noted that the players of the Saudi national team demonstrate full professionalism, confirming that the team in its entirety is prepared for the important match, adding: "Our players are professional, and we are ready for the match, with the entire team prepared for tomorrow’s confrontation."
The national football team will meet its Saudi counterpart at half-past eight on Monday evening, in the match held at Al-Bayt Stadium in Doha, in the semi-final match of the Arab Cup 2025 hosted in Qatar.
The Al-Nashama team aims to achieve victory, qualify for the final match for the first time in its history, and seek its first title in the Arab Cup tournaments.
