Khaberni - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan held an emergency meeting last Saturday, during which he directed the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, the Public Institute for Standards and Metrology, and the security forces to immediately take measures to halt the sale of heaters causing death and suffocation incidents that occurred in recent days and to withdraw them from the market until investigations are complete and technical results are disclosed.
The Prime Minister also directed the relevant authorities to proceed legally against any parties that violated the law or failed in performing their duties, referring them to the public prosecution.
During the meeting, which included the Ministers of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Government Communications, Interior, the Director General of Public Security, and the Director General of the Standards and Metrology Institute, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of taking necessary measures to ensure the safety and reliability of heating devices and to review compliance procedures with standards and metrology.
