It is known to everyone that the number of accountants is very large in Jordan even exceeding 100 thousand accountants in Jordan in various governmental and private sectors, therefore it is necessary to have legal legislation for them with an accounting association that organizes their work, secures their demands, and defends their rights under one roof, the association, as it is for all professions and unionists in Jordan like doctors, engineers, journalists, and others, noting that I personally along with many fellow accountants have been demanding an association for accountants since 2012 and we submitted a handwritten petition signed by colleagues to the House of Representatives at that time and the then President of the House, Mr. Atef Al Tarawneh, and his deputy Khalil Atiyeh kindly approved our demands and presented them to the House of Representatives and transferred it to the Legal Committee which in turn transferred the file to the Legislative and Opinion Bureau and after that the Legislative and Opinion Bureau transferred it to the Council of Ministers for approval and presentation in the Official Gazette for final approval and as of now there is no response from the government.
Note that our demand is a legal, constitutional demand that legitimizes for us the existence of an association that protects us and defends our rights to be a professional and political umbrella for us to manage our affairs and work , and here we are today back with a new written demand to the twentieth House of Representatives to present it to the Legal Committee at their first meeting hoping for their approval and to proceed through legislative channels for the demand under the auspices of the Hashemite leadership which has been and still is a symbol of benevolence and wisdom, equally distant from all Jordanians in their rights, gains, and aspirations.
