The Public Security Directorate formed a government investigation committee to inspect the sold and available heaters in the markets after 10 people died. Precautionary custody has been taken of 5000 units of "Shamousa" from factories and shops, concurrently with sending samples to the Royal Scientific Society to determine the causes of the technical fault.
Shamousa is known to be low-cost gas heaters marketed as economical and safe, however, a series of deadly incidents forced the authorities to sternly warn citizens against using them.
