Martyrdom of a Boy by Occupation Forces Fire in Jenin and Arrests Across the West Bank

Khaberni - A Palestinian boy was martyred and another injured by Israeli occupation forces' fire, who arrested several Palestinians during raids in various towns and cities of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the boy, Mohammad Abahreh (16 years old), was martyred by the occupation's fire near the town of Silat al-Harithiya, Jenin Governorate, northern West Bank, and his body is being held by the occupation forces.

On the other hand, the Israeli army stated in a statement that its forces killed "an armed Palestinian" alleging he threw an explosive device at soldiers without any injuries occurring.

Al Jazeera correspondent Montaser Nasar reported that the martyred boy was from the town of Yamoun adjacent to the town of Silat al-Harithiya, which was raided by occupation forces with several military vehicles without any confrontations with the Palestinians, contrary to the army's claim that the martyr was armed.

In another incident, the Red Crescent said its crew in the town of Al-Ram north of Jerusalem transported to the hospital a young man injured by live bullets in the leg, following violent clashes between Palestinian youths and the occupation army.

Al Jazeera reporter reported that the occupation army raided the village of Abwein, north of Ramallah, fired sound bombs and gas, raided several homes and used some as sniper vantage points, and the occupation army also closed all village entrances preventing residents from entering or exiting.

The occupation forces' raids in Ramallah also included the towns of Sinjil, Aarura, and Kfar Malik.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beita south of Nablus city in the northern West Bank, arresting 14-year-old child Tim Raed Hamayel.

Palestine Radio reported that the occupation army intercepted a vehicle during its raid on the town of Anabta east of Tulkarm, detained several young men and mistreated them before releasing them.

In central West Bank, Wafa agency reported that the army raided the town of Turmus Ayya northeast of Ramallah, detained a young man, and mistreated him after setting up a military checkpoint at the entrance of the town.


Barriers and house raids
Occupation forces raided the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin city in the northern West Bank, and raided the homes of several released prisoners and deportees who had been released in the latest deal, tampering with their contents.

Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the occupation forces patrolled on foot various streets and neighborhoods of the town.

And in the Northern Jordan Valley, Anadolu Agency reported from local sources that the occupation army arrested a Palestinian following a raid on the Bedouin assembly of Al-Hamma, coinciding with settlers raiding the neighboring Al-Burj assembly.

In Al-Bireh city in central West Bank, Israeli forces raided a home, searched it, and set up a military checkpoint in the city center.

And in Hebron south of the West Bank, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Ummar, fired tear gas and sound grenades, without registering injuries.

During the two years of genocide that the occupation waged on the Gaza Strip, the West Bank witnessed an unprecedented escalation in attacks by the Israeli occupation army and settlers against Palestinians, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 1,092 Palestinians and injuries to about 11,000, besides over 21,000 arrests according to official data.

Meanwhile, the war of genocide resulted in more than 70,000 Palestinian martyrs and about 171,000 injured in Gaza, mostly children and women, along with immense destruction with a reconstruction cost estimated by the United Nations at about 70 billion dollars.
