About Yazan AlNaimat
الكاتب: علي أحمد الدباس

Khaberni - Yazan Naimat was injured in the Iraq match ... like any other player on the field ... but the reactions to Yazan's injury were not normal ... and this is natural when it concerns someone like Yazan Naimat!

Yazan is a different Jordanian case ... and therefore, the Jordanian joy was limited after the victory ... because not even the people celebrated in the streets as they usually do because everyone was worried and affected by Yazan's injury!

After the match, the Moroccan coach El-Salami cried over Yazan's injury ... and said, "The victory tastes bland after Yazan's injury" ... The coach didn’t cry because he lost an important player, for the substitute, God willing, exists ... but he cried for Yazan, the noble player whose presence in the team was a tremendous positive energy capable of reviving the spirit in the dead when the morale of Al-Nashama drops!

The team's performance declined after Yazan’s injury ... the players were "with their minds" on Yazan ... and some cried when they realized it was the ACL ... the nightmare that keeps the toughest players out of the fields for long months ... Even the players from the Iraqi team cried for Yazan's injury because they appreciate the heroes ... and I was impressed when Yazeed Abu Layla said, "Yazan visited us during halftime and asked us to win and we decided to win to dedicate it to him" ... This was Yazan for the team ... the spirit ... and the brother to the players ...

One of the cultured female friends says that whenever she hears the song "Raise my country's flag higher," she remembers Yazan ... and I don't think any of us doesn’t remember him when we hear it ... not because he used to sing it with his voice to the team after and before the matches ... but because Yazan played every day to raise his country's flag ...

This is Yazan: he plays with his heart, not his feet ... After the injury, Yazan reflected the image of the Jordanian in all its splendor: the strong, patient Jordanian filled with dignity ... Yazan screamed from the pain but he did not cry ... He looked at the audience as he was exiting and said only ((Cheer for the boys)) knowing he would be away from the fields for months ... and he might not play the World Cup!

It’s the most difficult injury for any football player; but for Yazan, the timing is very tough ... he is on the verge of moving between Arab clubs in professional deals because he is an excellent player; the World Cup was his golden opportunity to be snatched up by one of the European clubs ... and just like that, he suddenly disappears from the fields while he was maneuvering one of the most beautiful maneuvers in his life! And amidst all of that, Yazan thinks of the team and tells them "Win for me and bring the cup with spirit" and screams to the audience as he departs "Cheer for the boys!"

For all this, we love Yazan ... because Yazan is like us ... sings spirited songs when victorious ... he speaks just like us, truly from his heart and without embellishment ... he loses the dream between his hands and says "It's okay ... compensated" ... he gets up from his knockdown stronger, just like us ... Yazan resembles the people in my country and that's why they love him and that's why he became an icon of the team!

Yazan Naimat was injured ... and he might be absent from the fields ... but please find a place for Yazan in the team ... throughout the coming months even if he does not play ... consider him a psychological therapist ... consider him a social counselor ... consider him the spirit of the team ... Yazan was not only a striker but also a noble player who unified his teammates and did not divide them! For this very reason, at least consider him as the team's singer who when he sings national songs, their rhythm aligns, find him a place in the team and let Yazan remain within the battalion even while injured!

Yazan resembles Jordanians a lot ... and it is necessary for the team to resemble Jordan ... for Jordan does not put those it loves on the shelf but rather carries them at the blink of an eye ... Yazan’s injury has hurt all our hearts and every one of our homes because he resembles every young man who dreams then stumbles ... and because he resembles every girl who loved something unattainable ... and because the heartbreak from Yazan’s injury was significant, we all must mend it to match the size of the break!

Dear dusky boy, oh Yazan: we love you immensely ... and do not rush your return ... we want you to return strong; kind-hearted with people and cunning in the field sniping goals among thousands of defenders! Take your time, oh warrior, for even if you are absent, you will remain in the hearts and the chance for global recognition is inevitably coming for you, God willing!
