In this update, the company offers instant translation features in AirPods for users within the European Union after a previous delay related to regulatory requirements.
In the United States, the update provides enhanced safety alerts, which can inform users of imminent threats such as floods and natural disasters, providing them with a map of the affected areas and links to safety instructions, according to Apple.
The update also includes new features for the Podcasts app, most notably the automatic generation of episode chapters in English in the absence of chapter additions from the publisher, alongside the addition of time-stamped links that appear at specific moments in the episode when referring to other elements or programs.
