Khaberni - The Jordanian government maintained silence regarding the Shamoose greenhouse tragedy, which resulted in the suffocation of 10 people within less than 24 hours in the kingdom.
No statements were issued by governmental entities like the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Standards and Metrology Organization, or any other authorities.
The Public Security Directorate issued two statements; the first called for not using the Shamoose heater.
The second statement announced the seizure of 5,000 heaters in one of the factories, banning their sale in the markets, forming a committee to investigate the incidents, and sending samples of the heaters to the Royal Scientific Society for examination.
