What are the latest symptoms of the Super Flu

Khaberni - Khaberni - Infection with the new strain of influenza H3N2 H3N2, also known as "super flu", has led to record hospital admissions in Britain, to the extent that health officials renewed calls for wearing masks.

Although the term "super flu" is not an official classification of the virus, it describes the infections that result in unprecedented numbers of people being hospitalized.

According to "Surrey Live", the H3N2 subtype represents one of the three main viruses responsible for seasonal influenza.

A strain unlike the vaccine

Experts say this strain has evolved in a way that makes it more dangerous and more infectious, and it no longer closely resembles the version used in this year's flu vaccine.

However, evidence suggests that the vaccine still provides protection against the virus.

Rapid spread of infection

Hospital admissions in Britain have significantly increased due to influenza, having risen by more than half in just one week, according to data released yesterday (Thursday).

The average number of patients occupying hospital beds due to influenza was 2660 patients per day last week, which is the highest number ever recorded at this time of year, representing an increase of 55% compared to the previous week.

Symptoms of the new strain

Experts say the symptoms of recent flu appear suddenly, and include:

Sudden fever.

Body aches.

Fatigue or tiredness.

Dry cough.

Sore throat.

Headache.

Difficulty sleeping.

Loss of appetite.

Diarrhea or abdominal pain.

Nausea and vomiting.

Given that this flu spreads easily and can remain on surfaces for 24 hours, regular hand washing and immediate disposal of tissues after coughing or sneezing help prevent the spread of infection.

Health officials also urge individuals showing symptoms to wear a mask.
