Khaberni - The Algerian international, Adel Boulbina, expressed his great regret after his exit along with his national team from the quarterfinals of the Arab Cup 2025 at the hands of the UAE team.
"Al-Abyad" qualified for the semifinals of the Arab Cup 2025 after defeating "Al-Khadra" on penalties 7-6, following the end of regular and extra time tied at 1-1.
Boulbina appeared far from his level against UAE, after being placed by the "Al-Khadra" coach Majid Bougherra in the position of right winger.
The star of Al-Duhail from Qatar after the elimination said: "We are very sorry for our fans, we wanted to give them the victory, but luck did not favor us."
He added: "We did what we had to do during the 120 minutes, it is true we dominated the match but the UAE team made it very difficult for us due to their good organization on the field."
He continued: "We need to review the mistakes we made so we can be stronger in the future, and I apologize to our supporters for this disappointment."
Regarding the possibility of his participation a few days from now with the first Algerian national team concerned with the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, Adel Boulbina declined to respond, preferring to "leave everything to its appropriate time."
