Confirmed orthopedic and joint surgery specialist, Secretary of the Jordanian Medical Association Council, Dr. Muzaffar Al-Jalamdeh, said that the return of national team player Yazan Al-Nuaimat to the fields may take several months and could extend to a year, if his injury with a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and a cartilage tear is confirmed.
Dr. Al-Jalamdeh explained to "Khaberni" that the speed of return to the fields does not indicate the success of the surgery or sports rehabilitation, emphasizing that "the real success is avoiding the recurrence of the injury in such cases." He added, "Speedy recovery to the player Yazan Al-Nuaimat, it seems that the eye which struck him was powerful".
Dr. Al-Jalamdeh spoke about the nature of the injury Al-Nuaimat sustained, pointing out that while the player was dodging, his foot remained planted on the ground while his knee turned unexpectedly, which is one of the most common causes of a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament, and is often accompanied by a tear in the knee cartilage due to the force of the rotation on the joint.

The Jordan Football Association announced, after medical examinations and radiographic images, that the player suffered a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament, following his injury in the 7th minute of the match against Iraq in the Arab Cup 2025 quarterfinals, during which he played despite the injury before being substituted in the 14th minute.
It is noteworthy that the national team advanced to the semi-finals of the Arab Cup 2025 after defeating their Iraqi counterparts with a goal to nil.
