UAE Excludes Algeria and Qualifies to Face Morocco in the Arab Cup SemiFinals

Khaberni - The UAE team snatched a semi-final qualifying ticket for the Arab Cup football tournament, after defeating the reigning champion, the Algerian team, in penalty kicks following the end of the original and additional halves in a positive draw (1-1).

The match, which lasted for over 120 minutes at Al Bayt Stadium, saw great excitement and a swap in control and goals.

Algeria opened the scoring in the 46th minute of the second half after Adel Boualbine followed up a shot from his teammate Yacine Brahimi, scoring the leading goal.
The UAE succeeded in leveling the score at the 64th minute through Bruno after an assist from Caio.
The draw (1-1) continued until the end of the original half, extending the match to two additional halves that witnessed dangerous attempts from both sides, particularly from Algeria, which almost decided the match if not for the UAE's goalkeeper blocking a powerful shot from Bouchehab in the last minute of the second additional half.

Both teams reached penalty kicks, which favored the UAE's "Al-Abyad" team, securing their advance to the semi-finals.

With this victory, the UAE team has set a strong date with the Moroccan team in the semi-finals of the Arab Cup.
