Erdoğan Its time for the international community to pay its debt to the Palestinian people

Khaberni - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the time has come for the international community to pay its debt to the Palestinian people, emphasizing the necessity of providing strong support to reinforce the ceasefire in Gaza.

This was stated in a speech delivered by the Turkish President on Friday at the "International Forum for Peace and Trust" in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

The Turkish president declared that the world has witnessed one of the most heinous massacres of the last century in Gaza.

He stressed that maintaining the ceasefire and delivering humanitarian aid to those in need are fundamental priorities.

He added, "The ongoing ceasefire is fragile despite Israeli violations, hence, strong support from the international community for this track is essential and must continue."

Erdoğan expressed hope that United Nations Security Council resolution number 2800 represents an opportunity to achieve lasting peace and rebuild Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that with American support, Israel launched a genocidal war on Gaza on October 8, 2023, which lasted two years, resulting in over 70,000 martyrs and 171,000 injured, most of them children and women.

On November 18 of last year, the international community, with a majority, adopted an American resolution project regarding ending the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, and authorizes the establishment of a temporary international force until the end of 2027.

Erdoğan said it is time for the international community to pay its debt to the Palestinian people.

He emphasized the importance of involving Palestinians in all stages of achieving peace and contributing to it, stating that the ultimate goal is a two-state solution.
