Opening of Applications for the First Session of the Ziad AlManaseer Award for Scientific Research and Innovation

Khaberni - The Ziad Al-Manaseer Award for Scientific Research and Innovation has officially announced the opening of applications for the first session 2025/2026, dedicated to the field of agriculture and food security, inviting students, researchers, and emerging academics in Jordanian educational and research institutions to apply through the award's website.

The Ziad Al-Manaseer Award for Scientific Research and Innovation was launched under the umbrella of the Ziad Al-Manaseer Charity Foundation, to serve as a national platform dedicated to honoring creative Jordanian researchers and supporting their innovations. This award is part of the efforts to enhance the role of scientific research in developing practical solutions to the challenges faced by the Jordanian society, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein in supporting innovation and sustainable economic and social development.

The current session focuses on the field of agriculture and food security, where research and projects addressing various topics within this field can be submitted, including the development of modern agricultural methods, water resources management, improving productivity, reducing food loss and waste, and adopting applicable solutions and technologies that contribute to the sustainability of food systems in Jordan and beyond.

The award includes four categories for application, which are:

  • Innovative Project Award (for students): designated for students of higher education institutions or research centers in Jordan, who own innovative projects or prototypes addressing challenges in agriculture and food security, with the prize value being 10,000 Jordanian Dinars.


  • Innovative Project Award (for academics and researchers): targeting academics and researchers working in higher education institutions or research centers in Jordan, who provide practical solutions based on prototypes or projects ready for implementation in the agriculture and food security sector, with the prize value being 10,000 Jordanian Dinars.


  • Applied Scientific Research Award: designated for applied research completed over the past five years in higher education institutions or research centers in Jordan, which have a clear feasibility for being transformed into practical solutions supporting agriculture and food security, with the prize value being 25,000 Jordanian Dinars.


  • Influential Jordanian Researcher Award: aims to honor Jordanian researchers who have provided scientific achievements with tangible impact on improving the quality of life in the Jordanian society, in the field of agriculture and food security, with the prize value being 5,000 Jordanian Dinars.


The award's website provides the general conditions for participation, notably that the applicant must be of Jordanian nationality, and that ideas or research must align with the current direction of the award (agriculture and food security), with a commitment to fully complete the application and submit required documents within the specified timeframe.
