Jordan  Decrease in the Value of Returned Checks by 17 Until the End of November

Khaberni - The value of returned checks decreased by approximately 17% during the first 11 months of this year compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released by the Jordan Payment and Settlement Systems Company, JoPACC.

The value of returned checks shrank to 1.129 billion dinars, from the beginning of the year until the end of last November. Note that this value was 1.356 billion dinars during the same period in 2024.

This decrease in the value of returned checks was accompanied by a decrease in their number, as they reached about 185,000 checks at the end of last month, which is about 10,000 checks less than the 196,000 checks registered at the end of November 2024.

Additionally, the total value of circulated checks increased by approximately 760 million dinars, reaching 37.1 billion dinars at the end of last November, compared with 36.340 million dinars in the same period in 2024.

The total number of circulated checks in various sectors of the Jordanian economy decreased by 11%, reaching 5.192 million checks in the first 11 months of 2025, while in the same period last year it was about 5.844 thousand checks.
