Khaberni - The Kingdom has been affected since last Wednesday by a low-pressure system, accompanied by rainfalls of varying intensity, ranging from moderate to heavy, which resulted in the formation of floods in some areas, as the rain covered most regions of the Kingdom, with large amounts of rain accompanied by thunder and hail.
Karak received the most rainfall
The Meteorological Department indicated that the rainfall amounts since the beginning of the depression until this morning reached 20 mm in Al-Baqura, 21 mm in Irbid, 40.6 mm in Al Roba (Karak), 23.7 mm in Madaba, 30 mm in Salt, and 20 mm in Ras Munif.
It confirmed that these quantities are good and are a positive indicator of the improvement of the agricultural situation in some areas, according to the Kingdom.
Continuation of foggy weather
It confirmed that foggy weather will continue during the next three days in the mountainous highlands and the western parts of the Kingdom, in addition to some plains.
Weather forecast for the coming days
Regarding the weather forecast for the coming days, the Meteorological Department indicated that the weather will be cold and foggy in most areas, with the formation of partly cloudy to overcast clouds.
The Meteorological Department expects that the temperatures in the capital Amman during the coming days will reach 12 degrees Celsius, while in Aqaba it will be 23 degrees Celsius, and temperatures at night in Amman will drop to between 6 and 7 degrees Celsius.
As for the weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday, the Meteorological Department indicated that a slight rise in temperatures is expected, where the weather will be cold in most areas and mild in the Jordan Valley, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea, as it is expected that temperatures in the capital Amman will be 14 degrees Celsius, and in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba areas 23 degrees Celsius.
A new phase of unstable weather
According to the Meteorological Department, a new phase of unstable weather is expected to affect the Kingdom starting from Tuesday evening, continuing for 24 hours.
It pointed out that the weather will remain cold in most areas during the day, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. In the evening hours, it is expected that clouds will increase, and there will be opportunities for rain showers in some areas of the Kingdom, especially in the southern regions.
