Khaberni - Security forces in Cairo arrested the imam of the Rahman al-Raheem mosque in the Abbasia area, following his accusation of impersonating a legal marriage officiant and completing a marriage contract between a man and a woman without any official documents to prove the legitimacy of the proceedings.
Initial investigations revealed that the incident began after a report was filed with the security authorities against the imam, accusing him of acting as a marriage officiant without legal authority, and documenting a marriage outside the official accredited frameworks.
Immediately, security forces began their actions, detaining the suspect and leading him to the competent investigative authorities, who undertook the interrogation to ascertain the circumstances of the incident and to take necessary legal actions.
