Khaberni - A recent study has shown that regular consumption of avocados helps reduce harmful cholesterol and triglycerides, making it a promising natural food in the prevention of heart disease and obesity.
The study published in the journal CRFSN revealed that including avocado in the daily diet can significantly contribute to lowering harmful blood cholesterol levels. Researchers analyzed the results of dozens of randomized clinical trials, concluding that regular consumption of avocados leads to a significant decrease in both total cholesterol and "LDL".
According to the analysis, moderate consumption of avocados reduces total cholesterol by about 7 mg/dL, while harmful cholesterol decreases by more than 6 mg/dL, and this effect increases with a consumption of more than 250 g daily or when continuing to consume it for periods exceeding 23 weeks.
It was also found that consuming daily portions ranging between 140 and 235 g for 5 to 9 weeks also contributes to reducing blood triglyceride levels. Researchers confirmed that avocado is one of the few natural products that show a dose-dependent response, but they emphasized the need for more studies to conclusively confirm these results.
