NASA Loses Contact with a Mars Orbiter After a Decade

Khaberni - The American space agency "NASA" lost contact with a spacecraft that had been orbiting Mars for more than a decade, and the "Maven" spacecraft suddenly stopped communicating with ground stations over the weekend.

This week, NASA said the spacecraft had been functioning normally before it disappeared behind the Red Planet, and when it reappeared, there was only silence.
After its launch in 2013, the "Maven" spacecraft began studying Mars' upper atmosphere and its interaction with solar winds, immediately upon its arrival at the Red Planet the following year.

Ultimately, scientists came to blame the Sun for Mars losing most of its atmosphere into space over the ages, transforming it from a wet and warm planet to the dry and cold planet it is now.

The "Maven" spacecraft also served as a communications relay for NASA's two Mars rovers, "Curiosity" and "Perseverance," and NASA stated that engineering investigations are currently underway.
