UNRWA Rain Exacerbates the Suffering of Displaced in Gaza and Floods Tents

Khaberni - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that the rainfall on the Gaza Strip exacerbates the catastrophic humanitarian conditions faced by hundreds of thousands of displaced people, especially in camps and areas lacking basic protection elements.

UNRWA clarified in a post on its official platform on "X" website, Thursday, that the streets flooded with water and their intrusion into the tents of the displaced increase the deterioration of the already poor living conditions, noting that the bitter cold, overcrowding, and lack of sanitation raise the risk of disease and infection, especially among children.

The agency affirmed that this escalating suffering can be mitigated by the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid, including medical supplies and appropriate shelter materials that enable families to face harsh winter conditions safely and with dignity.
