Khaberni - The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the general consumer price index (inflation), which recorded a 1.81% increase for the first eleven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
On a monthly level, the index increased by 1.28% in November 2025 compared to the corresponding month in 2024, and a slight decrease of 0.31% (less than one percentage point) in November 2025 compared to the preceding October.
Accordingly, the general consumer price index for the first eleven months of 2025 reached 112.62 points compared to 110.62 points for the same period in 2024. On a monthly level, the general consumer price index for November 2025 was 112.46 compared to 111.04 for the same month in 2024, with the index reaching 112.46 compared to 112.82 for the preceding month of the same year.
For the categories for the first eleven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, the index for the "personal effects" group rose by 21.82%, "tobacco and cigarettes" by 10.61%, "tea, coffee, and cocoa" by 9.96%, "fruits and nuts" by 9.29%, and "seasonings, flavor enhancers, and other foods" by 4.81%. Meanwhile, the index for the "vegetables, dry and canned legumes" group decreased by 3.65%, "household supplies" by 2.78%, "furniture, carpets, and linens" by 2.08%, and "home appliances" by 1.66%.
On the level of commodity groups, the "personal effects" group, "tea, coffee, and cocoa," "fruits and nuts," and "oils and fats" primarily contributed to the rise in the general consumer price index in November 2025 compared to the same month in 2024. Meanwhile, the reduction in the increase was attributed to the "vegetables, dry and canned legumes" group, "meat and poultry," "home appliances," and "household supplies."
