Death of an Infant Due to Harsh Cold in Khan Yunis

Khaberni - An infant (8 months old) died on Thursday due to the harsh cold in the city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry reported that the infant Rahaf Abu Jazar, who was 8 months old, died in the city of Khan Yunis due to the harsh cold.

It indicated that the incident reflects the severity of the humanitarian situation in the sector, especially among children and displaced persons who live in weak and inadequate tents for facing cold weather.

The people of the Gaza Strip suffer from lack of shelter and treatment, and the absence of heating means due to fuel shortage, amidst a stormy, cold, and rainy weather depression.
