Khaberni - Under the generous patronage of His Excellency Samir Al-Rifai, and in the presence of prominent national figures and representatives from various embassies and diplomatic missions, the Private University of Applied Sciences hosted its annual achievement event, which had a national character reflecting Jordan’s advancement in education and innovation.
The event capped a year of work and achievement, during which the university showcased its major academic and research milestones, its progress in global rankings, and the successes achieved by its students and faculty both locally and internationally. These accomplishments align with Jordan’s national journey in supporting quality education and empowering youth. The highlights included the Microscopic Anatomy Laboratory receiving European Union accreditation for medical specialties as the first center outside Europe. The university also kept its top position among all Jordanian universities in the Times Global Ranking for the second consecutive year, within the category (401-500) at the world university level. At the college level, the Business College received American accreditation from AACSB, making it the third in Jordan and among only 6% of business schools worldwide to achieve this prestigious accreditation. The series of achievements concluded with the university entering the Shanghai Global Ranking for Academic Specialties for the first time, thus becoming the first private university in Jordan to be included in the top three global rankings: QS – Times – Shanghai.
During the ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Samir Al-Rifai expressed his appreciation for the Private University of Applied Sciences, commending its outstanding academic journey and the remarkable achievements it had made on both the local and international levels, reassuring his confidence that the university will continue its leading presence, and stating that he will remain supportive of its current and future endeavors.
In a distinctive celebratory atmosphere, the event coincided with the match between the Jordanian national team and the Egyptian national team, where the university made sure to broadcast the match as part of the activities, bringing together the attendees to celebrate academic achievement on one hand, and support the national team on the other.
The ceremony concluded with a speech by the Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, Dr. Haitham Abdullah Abu Khadijah, who expressed his thanks to all those responsible for these achievements, including deans, academics, administrators, and students, appreciating the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Samir Al-Rifai and his honorable presence, and also thanking the representatives of the embassies, the diplomatic missions and the national figures who participated in the evening.
The university affirmed that this occasion marked a new milestone in its path towards excellence, and solidified its role as a key partner in supporting the national development journey and advancing higher education in Jordan.
