Khaberni - Syrian television reported today, Wednesday, the discovery of a rocket warehouse prepared for smuggling to outlawed groups in the eastern Daraa countryside.
It mentioned that after precise surveillance and monitoring, a successful security operation was carried out, which resulted in the discovery of the warehouse inside one of the farms.
It also revealed the discovery of 42 "Malyutka" type rockets and 4 "Metis" type rockets along with a launch base, where the confiscated items were seized and necessary security measures were taken to secure the site.
Discovery of a rocket warehouse in Eastern Daraa countryside
In October last year, the Internal Security Forces in Daraa Province carried out a security operation in one of the villages of the eastern countryside, targeting an abandoned house, after receiving reliable information about the presence of unknown gunmen inside.
A security source mentioned that the operation resulted in the seizure of quantities of light and medium weapons, in addition to narcotics that were securely hidden inside the house, pointing out that the seized items were confiscated and handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigations and legal proceedings, as reported by "SANA" agency.
The source confirmed that the operation is part of ongoing efforts by the security forces to enhance stability and security in the province and prevent any actions that threaten the safety of the citizens.
