Khaberni - The United Nations peacekeeping force "UNIFIL" in southern Lebanon announced on Wednesday that its forces were subjected to gunfire by Israeli soldiers in a tank in the border area in southern Lebanon, noting that no injuries were recorded.
UNIFIL said in a statement: "Yesterday, peacekeepers patrolling along the Blue Line were subjected to gunfire by Israeli Defense Forces soldiers in a Merkava tank."
UNIFIL added: "A single burst of ten rounds from machine guns was fired over the patrol, followed by four more bursts of ten rounds near it."
