Khaberni - Artist Mohamed Farag launched a fierce attack on the critics of his participation in the film "El Sett", starring actress Mona Zaki, where he portrays the character of the great poet Ahmed Rami, one of the most prominent poets who wrote Umm Kulthum's most famous songs during the events of the work.
Farag responded, during his meeting with the program "ET in Arabic", to the limitation of the discussion to the external appearance and the resemblance to the real character, considering that this approach diminishes the real value of the artistic work, explaining that the work presents a "story" and human characters that carry deep feelings and emotions.
Mohamed Farag discussed special details of the film, saying: "We are working on a film that contains a story and characters of flesh and blood, interacting with genuine feelings and emotions, so the value of the work cannot be limited to mere cosmetic comparisons or how makeup is presented."
Farag sent a sharp message to the critics of his role in the movie "El Sett", saying: "As an actor, I am not required to resemble the poet Ahmed Rami by 100%, because an actor presents the life and soul of the character, not just a duplicated image," and continued: "You can bring an actor who resembles Ahmed Rami if that is the main goal."
