We need him at United Ferdinand makes a public offer to Mohamed Salah

Khaberni - Manchester United has received recommendations to provide an offer to sign Mohamed Salah, amid the raging crisis between the Egyptian star and his coach Arne Slot.

Salah was previously excluded from Liverpool's roster against Inter Milan after a shocking interview he gave, although the team managed to achieve a 1-0 win in the Champions League without the services of its most prominent player.

After the match, Jamie Carragher apologized to Salah on CBS Sports after describing the incident as a "disgrace" on Monday Night Football.

As anticipated, Slot faced a barrage of questions about the player's situation following the tough win at San Siro, especially from Clarence Seedorf during his appearance on Amazon Prime.

It is still unknown whether Salah will participate when Liverpool resumes their journey in the English Premier League against Brighton on Saturday, and if he misses the match, he might indeed have played his last game in a Liverpool shirt, as he is scheduled to leave on December 15 to join the Egypt national team in preparation for the African Cup of Nations.

Speculation about Salah's possible departure in January has increased, with the Saudi League being presented as a potential destination. However, the surprise came with the name of Manchester United being one of the clubs poised to make a move for the player in a step that could shake the football world.

During the Rio Ferdinand Presents program, Stew Howson asked the former star Rio Ferdinand whether Manchester United should try to sign Salah. Ferdinand believes the club may indeed make an offer in January, despite his belief that the player will refuse to wear the Red Devils' shirt.

Ferdinand said: "It's impossible for Salah to move to Manchester United. I don't think he has that extra effort trait that Rooney or Tevez had."

He added jokingly: "But yes... I will make an offer, a public offer too. It would be incredible. I would only do it for the chaos it would cause."

The former defender concluded: "I have no doubt that Liverpool players don't want Salah to leave because he helps them win titles, but I believe he will leave... it's over."

However, the statements by Ferdinand and Howson seem more like joking rather than a serious proposal, as the possibility of Salah moving to Manchester United is almost non-existent, considering his legendary status among Liverpool fans and the historical rivalry between the two clubs. Also, his performance on the field does not fully fit in with the system of coach Ruben Amorim (3-4-3).

Salah has an impressive scoring record with 250 goals in 420 matches for Liverpool, but he is struggling this season, having scored only five goals in various competitions, compared to 34 goals last season, which reflects a clear decline in his offensive effectiveness.
