Tkiyet Um Ali Ready to Send Coats Blankets and Aid to Gaza

Khaberni - The General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali, Samer Balqar, confirmed that the institution is "fully ready" to deliver the new batch of winter and food aid to the Gaza Strip in coordination with the Hashemite Charity Organization and the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Balqar explained on Wednesday that the announcement of opening the King Hussein crossing for sending humanitarian aid paves the way for starting to introduce aid "during this week or the following week," indicating that the Tkiyet teams finished preparing the coats since last July, in addition to the blankets, in preparation for distributing them to the affected Palestinian families.

He also highlighted that Tkiyet had prepared 200,000 canned meat packages as part of the Eid al-Adha sacrifices, to be delivered this month, along with date bars that Tkiyet had previously launched in its school nutrition program in Jordan, noting that work is ongoing to produce 3 million pieces to be distributed to students in Gaza next year through schools and educational classes.

Regarding the Israeli restrictions on the entry of trucks from the crossing, Balqar emphasized that "the tightening was present from the first day," but it did not stop the Jordanian efforts, pointing out that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, continued to introduce land and air convoys despite the difficulties, and that "the will of the Jordanians is stronger than the obstacles."

He mentioned that since the beginning of the war last year, Tkiyet has implemented a broad series of aid, which included sending 60,000 coats in 2024, and 90,000 food parcels this year, in addition to 200,000 meat packages that arrived via air drops, confirming that this effort "is not a temporary campaign, but a continuous effort from the first day."
