President of Amman AlAhliyya Participates in the Fifth Forum of Arab and Russian University Presidents

Khaberni - Dr. Sari Hamdan, president of Amman Al-Ahliyya University participated in the fifth forum of Arab and Russian university presidents, which commenced today, Monday at Capital University (formerly Helwan) in the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the auspices of the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, with extensive participation from Arab and Russian academic leaders.

The university's participation witnessed the signing of several international cooperation agreements with Arab and Russian universities, including: Capital University (formerly Helwan), Mari State University in Russia, and Chechen State University. The agreements include areas of student and faculty exchange, joint research programs, and academic program development.

Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan emphasized that these partnerships are part of the university's strategy to enhance its international presence and build sustainable academic cooperation, noting that the signed agreements will contribute to the development of scientific research and launch joint initiatives in technology, medical sciences, and artificial intelligence fields, positively impacting students and researchers.

The forum, organized by the Association of Arab Universities, introduced two new initiatives from the Secretary-General Dr. Amro Salama to deepen Arab-Russian cooperation; the first pertaining to launching joint research themes in artificial intelligence, space, sustainable energy, medical sciences, food security, heritage, and innovation. The second focuses on establishing the Arab-Russian Center of Excellence for Education and Research as a joint platform for research programs, PhD degrees, and innovation incubators.

This year, the forum is held under the theme: "Bridges of Civilizational Knowledge: Education, Innovation, and Sustainable Future," with the participation of more than fifty Arab and Russian universities.
