Parliamentary Inquiry About Maintenance of Aqaba Authority Chiefs Residence Costing 150000 Dinars

Deputy Basem Al-Rawabdeh directed a parliamentary question to Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, inquiring about the maintenance works carried out at the official residence designated for the head of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, wondering about the accuracy of the costs of these works exceeding 150,000 dinars during the year 2025.

Al-Rawabdeh requested detailed information about any maintenance or renovations that took place during the previous president’s term, along with their nature, financial value, and date of execution if available.

He also inquired about the reasons behind the current authority president’s decision to conduct new maintenance on the residence, and whether these actions were based on a decision from a specialized committee or a technical entity.

The parliamentary question included a request to be provided with all documents, contracts, and payment orders related to the maintenance works, along with queries about the current living arrangements of the authority head if the official residence is not in use, and the financial cost borne by the treasury or authority for the alternative accommodation.
