Khaberni - "Apple" is considering abandoning the famous notch design that was introduced in "iPhone 15" and instead opting for a small hole in the screen that conceals all the special sensors for facial recognition, according to a report by the tech website "WCCFtech".
The change in the "iPhone 18" is not limited to just the screen notch; we might also see a completely new rear design for the phone, which the report describes as the biggest change in iPhone design ever.
The report is based on posts on the Chinese social media platform "Weiboo" (Weibo) about the components of the "iPhone 18," which is set to be released next year. It indicates that "Apple" is currently testing under-display facial recognition using technologies similar to the hidden camera technology introduced by "Samsung" and other companies.
The report expresses concerns about the quality of the facial recognition and the front camera after using this technology, as previous experiments have shown that the front camera loses much of its quality when placed under the screen.
This change brings "Apple" a step closer to releasing a phone with a full screen, which has been heavily rumored in recent years. The report confirms that "Apple" intends to launch it by 2027, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the first iPhone release.
