Khaberni - Her Excellency MP Professor Dr. Tamara Nasser Al-Din, Assistant President of the University, welcomed Swiss Ambassador Emilia Georgieva at the Middle East University. During the meeting, they explored cooperation paths between Jordan and Switzerland and ways to enhance them in various areas, especially in the political, parliamentary, and educational fields.
Nasser Al-Din praised the advanced level that the Jordanian-Swiss relations have reached, describing them as strong and established, based on cooperation and mutual respect. She emphasized the importance of enhancing parliamentary partnerships between the two countries, which reflects on the development of parliamentary work. She also emphasized supporting and empowering youth, with the need to expand joint academic programs that contribute to the development of education in line with the rapid changes the world is experiencing.
Ambassador Georgieva, on her part, expressed her anticipation that this visit would mark the beginning of fruitful cooperation contributing to strengthening relations between the Jordanian and Swiss parliaments. She confirmed the existence of broad opportunities for joint cooperation and highlighted the importance of expanding international programs that support innovative education, enhance capacity building, and contribute to raising academic levels between universities in the two countries.
At the end of the visit, MP Nasser Al-Din accompanied Ambassador Georgieva on a field tour inside the university facilities and its colleges, where she observed the advanced educational infrastructure, academic development mechanisms, and research projects that the university is working on as part of its vision to transition towards quality and transboundary education.
