Video Wedding turns into disaster after the roof collapses on attendees

Khaberni - A wedding celebration in the Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh, India turned into a tragic scene on Saturday when the roof of a mud house collapsed during the festivities, injuring twenty-eight people, most of them women.

The collapse occurred in Shahua village under the Gungara Panchayat in the Churah subdivision, where the celebrants were enjoying traditional dancing and singing inside the house.

The roof suddenly collapsed during the singing and traditional dance performances, causing widespread panic among the attendees.

 



Local residents immediately initiated rescue efforts, transporting the injured to the Civil Hospital in Tissa using private vehicles.

The number of injured included twenty women, two men, and six children, with three of them suffering serious injuries, including two women and one child, who were transferred to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Chamba.

Later, footage captured in 4K by a drone showed the moment when the roof began to collapse while several attendees were sitting on it during the wedding.

The footage documented the spread of panic among those present before local residents intervened to rescue the injured, while the clips confirmed that there were no fatalities despite the large number of injuries.
